 Memorial Day Activities Announcement

VFW Post 6073 is honored to invite all members and the public to join us in commemorating Memorial Day on Monday, May 27th, 2024 at 9:30 am.

This is a day of remembrance for those who have served our country. The day’s activities will begin at 9:00 am at the Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County.

The morning will start with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony hosted by the Commanders of VFW Post 6073 and American Legion Post 30. This ceremony is a time-honored tradition that allows us to pay our respects and remember the brave individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Immediately following the wreath-laying, please join  us for a breakfast social hosted by the Auxiliary. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members and share stories of service and sacrifice.

After breakfast, we will proceed to the Collins Middle School Auditorium for a Memorial Day Ceremony. This ceremony will serve as a poignant reminder of the cost of our freedom and the importance of honoring those who have served.

We strongly encourage all veterans to attend these events. Your presence and your stories are a vital part of our community’s history and heritage.

We look forward to seeing you there as we come together to honor our heroes on this special day.
